🔧 How It Works: Step-by-Step Process

1. Forming Station

   • A thermoforming or cold forming technique is used to shape plastic (e.g., PVC, PVDC) into cavities (blisters).

   • Thermoforming: plastic is heated and shaped with compressed air and molds.

   • Cold forming: aluminum-based material is shaped without heat—used for moisture-sensitive drugs.

2. Feeding Station

   • Tablets or capsules are loaded into the formed cavities.

   • Feeding is often done using vibratory feeders, brush boxes, or robotic pick-and-place arms.

3. Sealing Station

   • The blister sheet is sealed with a lidding material (commonly aluminum foil) using heat and pressure.

4. Coding / Printing

   • Batch numbers, expiry dates, and barcodes are printed on the foil.

5. Cutting Station

   • The sealed sheet is cut into individual blister packs using a die-cutting system.
